Jay Butler is a Provisional Financial Adviser of Fiducian Canberra and is in the final stages of completing the Professional Year Program under the supervision of Peter Orr, ARN 246097.
Originally from regional New South Wales, Jay relocated to Canberra to pursue his studies and build his career in financial planning.
Jay brings valuable, prior experience from the banking sector, where he developed a strong foundation in client service, relationship management, and helping individuals navigate important financial decisions. He commenced his professional journey with Fiducian Canberra as a graduate and has since developed a detailed understanding of financial planning.
With a particular focus on Commonwealth and Defence defined benefit superannuation schemes, including CSS, PSS and MSBS, Jay is adept at guiding clients through complex structures and helping them make informed and confident financial decisions.
Jay’s experience was further enhanced through his work at the Australian Office of Financial Management, where he gained valuable insight into financial markets, interest rate environments, and government funding. This experience strengthened his analytical capabilities and deepened his understanding of the broader economic environment, enabling him to bring a well-rounded perspective to financial planning.
In his leisure time, Jay has a long-standing involvement in amateur boxing as both a competitor and coach.
